Bomi EHR: account and setup
- 1
Create your account
Your name, email, and practice name. One checkbox accepts the Terms, Privacy Policy, and our Business Associate Agreement, which sets out Bomi’s responsibilities for using and protecting client information.
- 2
Check your email
We send a sign-in link. There is no password. The link opens your practice dashboard.
- 3
Work through setup
Five steps, each with an explanation beside it. Progress saves automatically, so do ten minutes now and the rest later.
The five-step setup checklist
Use the same legal name and address everywhere; mismatches delay payer applications.
- 1
Agreement
One e-signature request by email: the Bomi Billing agreement and the EHR addendum.
- 2
Practice basics
Contact info, office and telehealth locations, and your team. Skip the team step if it is just you.
- 3
Clinician profile
Services and rates, no-show and late-cancel fees, weekly hours, NPI, license, and your CAQH login.
- 4
Billing
EIN and tax classification, Type 2 NPI if you have one, the bank account for insurance payments, and client card payments.
- 5
Review
Submit for review. We check it, set up direct deposit and ERAs, and start your payer applications while you keep using the EHR.
Keeping your EHR: the handoff
- 1
Sign
After a 15-minute handoff call, we email the BAA and the Services Agreement for e-signature. Same terms: 4% of collections, month-to-month.
- 2
Intake
As soon as you sign, George emails the intake: the same NPI, CAQH, tax, bank, license, and malpractice items as the setup checklist.
- 3
Add Bomi to your EHR
Add us as a billing user. We see the schedule and insurance details, not your notes. New practices do this once credentialing is done.
Milestones after setup
How long each takes depends on your payers.
- 1
Setup reviewed; direct deposit and electronic insurer payment reports requested.
- 2
Applications submitted where needed, within about a week.
- 3
Each payer confirms your effective date.
- 4
Payer IDs loaded, benefits verified for your first clients.
- 5
First claim sent the morning after your first session; payment timing depends on the payer.
