What Bomi Billing handles

You keep ownership of the practice, clinical decisions, client relationships, schedule, and bank account. Bomi handles the insurance work behind the scenes.

Before sessions

Verification of Benefits, eligibility checks, client cost estimates, and benefit summaries.

After sessions

Claims, EOB entry, secondary submissions, patient balances, and payment-plan support.

When things go wrong

Denials, stale claims, underpayments, missing information, expired insurance, and resolution reporting.

As you grow

Payer credentialing for new clinicians, credential maintenance, CAQH, attestations, roster updates, and revenue reporting.

No EHR migration required

Bomi works inside the EHR your practice already uses, so you do not need a major system change just to get billing help. We support SimplePractice, TherapyNotes, Sessions Health, TheraNest, Carepatron, and PracticeQ, and we can talk through your current setup during the call.

Why therapists trust Bomi with their insurance work

Bomi has impressed me with how quickly claims are filed and paid. Their weekly A/R sweeps help me stay current on my end. Bomi is like a trusted in-house billing team. The process of opening my own practice was daunting, but Bomi was an integral part of creating a seamless process on the billing side.

This is the first time owning my own practice. However, I have had some experience with navigating billing. I was actually SHOCKED to see how fast claims were getting paid out. From my previous experiences, other billing professionals told me weeks, maybe months. Bomi has been quick and effective.

What working with Bomi looks like

Bomi gives you a real billing team. Here’s what getting started and day-to-day support look like.

Getting started

  1. 1

    Intro call

We review your practice, payers, EHR, and current billing setup, and confirm pricing in writing.

  2. 2

    Agreement and BAA

You sign our Billing Services Agreement and Business Associate Agreement before we access any patient information.

  3. 3

    Access

You add Bomi as a billing user in your EHR and as a delegate on your payer portals. We send step-by-step guides for each.

  4. 4

    Go live

We take over claims from your start date. Bomi’s fee only applies to claims we submit from then on.

Aligned with your collections

Bomi Billing is designed to stay aligned with your practice. We invoice at the end of the month based on net collections actually received. If a claim has not paid yet, Bomi does not take a percentage of it.

Month-to-month

No long-term billing contract. Stay because Bomi is helping, not because you are locked in.

Paid when you are paid

Bomi's 4% fee is based on net collections actually received during the month.

No charge if it’s not the right fit

If Bomi isn’t the right fit, tell us within 30 days of starting. We’ll stop right away and won’t charge you anything.

Growing a group practice? We handle the insurance work that grows with it.

Adding clinicians multiplies payer paperwork, rosters, and reporting. Bomi keeps it organized by clinician.

Credentialing for new clinicians

We handle payer applications, CAQH, and onboarding paperwork as clinicians join, and track each one by payer and effective date.

Payer roster updates

We keep rosters current when clinicians join, leave, change locations, or update their information.

Reporting by clinician

See claims, denials, aging A/R, and revenue by clinician, payer, and location.

Supervision and payouts

Billing support for associates and trainees where payers allow it, plus optional help with clinician payout calculations.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Bomi Billing is month-to-month. No long-term billing contract is required.

Bomi invoices at the end of the month based on net collections actually received during that month. If a claim has not been paid yet, it is not included in that month's Bomi fee.

Net collections means money actually collected by the practice from insurance or patients, after adjustments that reduce the collected amount (such as processing fees). Bomi's fee is based on collected revenue, not on claims that are still unpaid.

Multiply monthly net collections by 4%. For example, $10,000 in net collections produces a $400 Bomi Billing fee. This is an illustrative cost calculation, not a forecast of additional sessions or revenue. Your EHR subscription and applicable third-party charges are separate.

Bomi Billing includes Verification of Benefits, claims, EOB entry, denial tracking, stale-claim follow-up, patient balance tracking, payment-plan support, roster updates, CAQH, attestations, credential management, and revenue reporting.

Bomi signs a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with every practice before we start work. You give us access by adding Bomi as a user in your own EHR, using a billing-only role where your EHR offers one, such as SimplePractice’s Practice Biller role. Your EHR and payer portal accounts stay in your practice’s name with you as administrator, so you stay in control and can remove our access at any time.Source: Business Associate Agreement
