What to expect
You joined Bomi. Here is what happens next.
Seven short guides for the weeks after you sign: what we are doing, what we need from you, how long each step usually takes, and what will look odd the first time. The same team that runs your account wrote them, so if something here does not match what you were told, tell us and we will fix one or the other.
From signature to steady state.
Credentialing and billing run on separate clocks. Credentialing starts the day your intake is complete; billing starts on the date you choose. Everything below is measured from your signature.
- 1You
Day 0
You sign
The BAA and the Services Agreement by e-signature, or the agreement step inside Bomi EHR.
- 2Bomi
Within a day
Welcome email and intake
George emails the intake link (or, in Bomi EHR, the setup checklist). It collects what payers ask for and the payers you want.
- 3You
You decide the pace
Intake complete
Finishing the intake is what starts the clock. We review it within about a business day and confirm it is complete or list what is missing. Your Monday emails start the following Monday.
- 4Bomi
About a week later
Applications submitted
One application per payer per clinician, under your practice, within about a week of a complete intake. We confirm each payer received it. Already contracted with a payer? We skip this for that payer and confirm your effective date instead.
- 5Payer
60 to 90 days
Payers decide, one at a time
Each approval comes with an effective date. We confirm it in writing, load the payer ID, and request direct deposit. If a panel is closed, we tell you and re-check about every two months.
- 6Bomi
Your billing start date
Billing begins
The date you choose, at least a week after you add Bomi to your EHR. From this date, claims go out the morning after each completed session.
- 7Bomi
Early next month
First invoice
4% of the payments that landed in your account for sessions on or after your start date. Then the same rhythm every month.
