Credentialing and payer applications

Credentialing is available only to practices enrolled in Bomi Billing, including practices using Bomi EHR. We do not offer credentialing on its own.

Bomi Billing: ongoing credentialing is included in the 4% billing fee—CAQH upkeep, attestations, re-credentialing, and roster updates. New payer applications are the separate setup item: first four free per practice, then $50 per insurance company / therapist.

Bomi EHR: Bomi manages your payer applications, then keeps your credentials current with CAQH upkeep, attestations, re-credentialing, and roster updates. Ongoing credentialing is included; your practice’s first four payer applications are free, then $50 per insurance company / therapist. We confirm the payer list with you before work begins.

How billing fees work

Bomi invoices monthly on net collections received from insurance and patients, after adjustments. Unpaid claims are not included in that month’s fee. Bomi Billing is month-to-month.

Pass-through fees are not Bomi fees. They may include EHR costs, payment processor fees, bank fees, government fees, payer fees, or other third-party costs when applicable.

If Bomi isn’t the right fit, tell us within 30 days of starting. We’ll stop right away and won’t charge you anything. Third-party fees are separate.

Bomi invoices at the end of the month based on net collections actually received during that month. If a claim has not been paid yet, it is not included in that month's Bomi fee.

Net collections means money actually collected by the practice from insurance or patients, after adjustments that reduce the collected amount (such as processing fees). Bomi's fee is based on collected revenue, not on claims that are still unpaid.
