ProviderOne Login: Set Up Your Account and Add a Biller

By George Ruan • July 14, 2026

For ProviderOne provider login, open the official ProviderOne sign-in page and sign in with your own user account. Domain Name, User Name and Password are case sensitive.

The ProviderOne login page looks like this. Existing users choose Login; first-time staff ask their organization’s System Administrator to create their own user account.

TL;DR: use your own login, and give your biller their own

Use your own ProviderOne login. Your biller gets their own login with EXT Provider Claims Submitter access that your System Administrator grants; add EXT Provider Eligibility Checker if they need to check coverage. State enrollment and Apple Health plan participation are separate from this login.

Who needs their own ProviderOne login

HCA’s user guide says every person needs their own user account and generic accounts shared by multiple people should not be used. The EXT Provider System Administrator creates named accounts and assigns profiles for the work each person does. Keep your password, recovery answers and any MFA with the account owner. Never share your password with your biller; give them access to their own login instead.

Each person uses their own ProviderOne account. The EXT Provider System Administrator creates the biller’s account and assigns EXT Provider Claims Submitter access; never share passwords.

Before you create ProviderOne access

For a new organization, follow HCA’s organization access process. The person who completed the security access request receives administrator login credentials, including a temporary password. Other staff ask the organization’s System Administrator to set up their user profile; HCA’s FAQ says the initial email includes a temporary password and first login asks for security questions and a new password.

Account setup: create named users and approve access

An administrator signs in with EXT Provider System Administrator, opens Admin → Maintain Users and chooses Add. Enter the person’s own information and User Login ID, then complete the user setup. Follow the guide’s approval steps; creating a user and assigning approved profiles are both needed.

Add your biller with their own ProviderOne login

Create the biller’s own user account, open that user, choose Show Associated Profiles and Add, move the needed profiles from Available Profiles to Associated Profiles, then approve the profile assignment. Use EXT Provider Claims Submitter for claims and add EXT Provider Eligibility Checker for eligibility when needed. The administrator controls access; the biller keeps their own password and recovery answers.

Login errors during first-time setup

If the person’s security answers fail, HCA directs them to the organization’s System Administrator. A sole administrator can seek help from ProviderOne Security; otherwise use the backup administrator. Check profile approval if sign-in succeeds but the intended task is missing.

First checks after adding a user

Have the person use their own credentials and confirm the profiles needed for their job are available. Compare those profiles with HCA’s current definitions, rather than granting broader provider-file or administrator access merely to make a claims task appear. Keep backup administrator coverage and review access when staff responsibilities change. These are our suggested access checks; they do not replace HCA’s user-approval process.
