71890 and 75261 are distinct product routes
The current product table also identifies a VPay/SDS route for ASO self-funded products under 75261. The 2026 notice does not move every Dean product to VPay. Other products retain their separate payment instructions. The payer ID and member card should guide the inquiry, rather than the Dean name alone. How to request payment setup and SDS remittances
Confirm the product’s payment contact. For the self-funded 71890 plans in the dated notice, Dean lists support@vpayusa.com or 855-893-3029 for ACH or Vcard setup. For ASO 75261, start with its product table and ask Dean to confirm the applicable setup instructions. Dean provider news, December 1, 2025 Dean product payment table.
Set up the remittance feed separately. Dean’s table identifies Smart Data Solutions (SDS) for VPay remittances. Existing SDS users can add the payer through ERA enrollment. If the payer is missing, it lists 855-297-4436, option 2. Dean product payment table.
Review the election before submission. Recommended: ask about ACH costs, the product and locations covered, signing authority and the effective date. The reviewed sources do not establish one universal fee schedule or a paper-check cancellation policy.
Verify payment delivery without changing claim routing
Recommended: compare the deposit or card notice with the remittance and confirm SDS delivery works. Payment enrollment is not a reason to change the claim payer ID without reviewing the plan’s own claim instructions. Keep bank changes and ERA changes distinct in your records.
If fees or remittances are missing
Recommended: separate a merchant settlement charge from a payer adjustment, preserve the support confirmation, and investigate the payment and SDS feed independently. A successfully submitted enrollment or portal login does not by itself show that both are active.
