Creating Your Evernorth Provider Account: What to Expect

By George Ruan • October 6, 2026

You created an Evernorth account, signed in, and cannot find the menu your credentialing team asked you to use. We hear this question from therapy providers. Start by checking the access assigned to your practice’s tax ID.

What to expect: Registration requests access. Your account may start limited, and managing users requires Website Access Manager access. A working login alone does not mean every menu is available. See Evernorth’s registration guide and access manager guide.

Create your own account

Open Provider.Evernorth.com and select Register. Have your practice’s Tax Identification Number (TIN) ready, enter your personal information, and create your own login. Each person should have an individual account. Save the confirmation instructions; Evernorth may review the request or ask for more information. Official registration steps.

Limited access can be part of setup

Evernorth says limited accounts can complete contracting and credentialing and check application status. Patient and claims information remains unavailable until the practice becomes contracted. If those tools are missing, check your displayed access before assuming registration failed. About limited access.

If My Practice is missing, check your access manager

The Website Access Manager approves users and assigns permissions for the practice. To find that person:

  1. Select your name in the upper-right corner.

  2. Open Settings and Preferences.

  3. Select Online Access > View Access Rights.

  4. Choose your practice’s TIN and check the manager listing at the bottom.

If a manager is listed, ask them to approve your access. Evernorth’s access manager instructions.

If no Website Access Manager is on file

Evernorth’s published FAQ says its team calls the first registrant’s office to establish a manager. If none has been established more than five business days after registration, call Internet Customer Service at 888-736-7499 and ask for help establishing an authorized manager for your TIN on your existing account. Registration FAQ, question 11.

That FAQ dates from the portal’s earlier rollout. Follow any different instructions in your current registration confirmation. Five business days is an escalation point, not a guaranteed activation date.

Give your credentialing team or biller access

The manager can use My Practice > Manage User Access > Add new user to add a named user. For an existing user, select the user, View access, then Edit this user. Manage user access.

If you work with Bomi, use the named user details your Bomi team provides. For George Ruan, the email is george@billwithbomi.com. Ask your team which billing permissions they need as those tools become available. Keep your own password.

For credentialing, the user needs Contracting access. Managers who need this tool must assign it to themselves too, then sign out and back in. Evernorth’s Contracting instructions.

Account setup and the application are separate steps

A registered account is not a submitted application or network approval. Evernorth’s individual-provider application opens under My Practice > Contracting and must be completed in one session; progress cannot be saved. If Bomi is preparing your application, coordinate with us before starting the Provider Information Form. Application instructions.

Still stuck? Share the screen that explains access

Send your credentialing team the relevant menu or access-rights screenshot. Show the selected practice and displayed permissions or manager listing. Keep patient information, passwords, and verification codes out of the image.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can I log in but not see patient or claims information?

Your account may have limited access. Evernorth says patient and claims tools become available once the practice is contracted. Check the displayed permissions for your practice’s TIN.

Does Website Access Manager status include Contracting?

Permissions are assigned separately. A manager who needs Contracting must assign it to their own account, then sign out and back in.

Did creating my account submit my credentialing application?

Creating an account requests portal access. The Provider Information Form is a separate application step; coordinate with whoever is preparing it for you.

Need help getting payer-ready?

Bomi helps with CAQH, payer applications, credentialing packets, attestations, effective dates, roster updates, and credential management.
