Free Payspan EFT and paid ACH+ are different choices

As of October 9, 2026, Sunflower’s live payment notice says free EFT is available through Payspan. The same notice describes Zelis ACH+ as a separate fee-based option. A Zelis payment message therefore does not, by itself, establish that the practice must pay to receive Sunflower EFT. Sunflower payment options notice

Use the payer’s free-EFT route

Sunflower directs providers seeking Payspan EFT to Payspan and lists 877-331-7154, option 1, for provider support. Use the official notice to reach the enrollment route. Ask specifically for the free Sunflower EFT option, and confirm which payer and payee the enrollment covers. Sunflower payment options notice

If ACH+ fees are already appearing

Sunflower lists Zelis at 877-828-8770 for payment-option changes or opting out. Its notice does not publish a universal ACH+ percentage or promise refunds. Keep the agreement and fee records, request an explanation of the assessed charge and ask what a prospective switch changes. Sunflower payment options notice

Plan remittance work as well as deposits

Before choosing a service, write down what the biller actually needs: access to the remittance, a usable file, a payment reference and a clear reconciliation owner. Ask support to explain what the selected option delivers. Compare that answer with the practice’s workflow and the proposed agreement. After a change, reconcile the first payment and document any remaining missing records rather than assuming the new enrollment solved every billing issue.

Existing Payspan account: add the payer and choose EFT

The screens below illustrate the Payspan interface in a January 2026 guide published by Arizona Complete Health. Your payer’s current product and payment instructions determine which options are available; this example does not replace them. Read the public Payspan tip sheet.

For an existing account adding a payer relationship, open Your Payments and Manage Reg. Codes, then Add New Reg. Code. Enter the registration code, PIN and TIN supplied for that payer relationship. Tip sheet, pages 1–2.

When Payment Preference offers ACH for the payer, select that option and review its terms before continuing. The guide says payment options depend on payer preferences; ask for the payer’s basic no-cost EFT route rather than assuming every ACH-branded offer has the same terms. Payment Preference example, page 2.
