TL;DR: use your own login, and give your biller their own
Use your own NH MMIS login. Your Organization Administrator creates a separate login for your biller and assigns Provider – Billing Staff; checking eligibility or payments may need other staff roles. Provider enrollment is a separate process. Official portal guidance.
Who needs their own NH MMIS Health Enterprise login
The Organization Administrator manages individual user accounts and their roles. A biller working on claims needs the Provider – Billing Staff role, while Provider – Eligibility Staff and Provider – Financial Staff cover different tasks. Our recommendation: keep each login in the named user’s control, including recovery details and any MFA offered, and never share your password. Official portal guidance.
Before you create access
If your practice is already registered, ask its Organization Administrator to create your account. If the enrolled provider has no web access, have the Title XIX provider ID and the matching SSN or FEIN ready for provider registration. The public registration instructions say credentials are mailed to the address on file. Official portal guidance.
Account setup steps
Already enrolled: open the portal’s Register Here route and follow the provider web-registration instructions. Use the provider information from the enrollment record. Staff joining an existing organization should go through its administrator instead of registering a duplicate organization. NH MMIS web-registration instructions.
During a new enrollment application, the March 2023 enrollment guide shows a Register for Web Access section on Submit Application Step 1. Selecting Yes identifies the Organization Administrator and collects the organization, user ID and administrator contact details. Add your biller as Provider – Billing Staff
Sign in as the Organization Administrator. Open Manage Users, choose Manage Users, then Add New Users. Enter the biller’s own identity, contact information, user ID and initial password in the required fields. NH MMIS: How to Add Users.
Move the appropriate roles from Available to Selected and choose Save. For claims work, select Provider – Billing Staff. Add eligibility or financial roles only when those functions are needed. Give the biller their own account access rather than your administrator password. NH MMIS provider-role descriptions.
Login errors and lockouts
Use Forgot User ID or Password on the current provider login page. If recovery does not resolve access, contact your Organization Administrator or Provider Relations at 603-223-4774 or 866-291-1674. NH MMIS login and recovery.
A missing Manage Users menu is a role issue: the portal help reserves this function for Organization Administrators. Ask the administrator to check the account and roles. NH MMIS Manage Users help.
