TL;DR: use your own login, and give your biller their own
Use your own Availity login for Molina. Your biller gets their own User account with the roles the practice administrator assigns. A portal login is separate from joining Molina’s network or enrolling with the state. Official account and access guidance
Who needs their own provider login
Your biller uses their own Availity user account. An administrator assigns roles for the work they need, such as eligibility or claim status. “Biller” is a job, not a special universal Availity role; the documented account is a User with assigned roles. Do not grant Administrator merely because someone submits claims. Official user and administrator guidance
Molina’s Availity transition: use the current route
Molina’s public health-care-professionals page says direct access to the legacy Molina Provider Portal was removed on March 28, 2023 and directs users to Availity. An old Molina bookmark is therefore a poor starting point for new registration. Use Molina’s state selector to get the Medicaid, Medicare or Marketplace resources for the actual product. Molina provider state selector and legacy-portal notice
The current Molina-hosted Availity resources describe eligibility and benefits, claims and prior authorizations, with plan-specific tools. The Senior Whole Health resource page is one documented example; it is not a promise that every Molina product uses every application identically. Confirm the state and plan before starting a transaction. Molina Availity resources
Before you create Molina access
Ask whether the practice is already registered with Availity. Gather its tax ID, appropriate NPI and business addresses if it is new. Choose the correct practice organization and payer region when working in the portal; a working personal account is not proof you can access every Molina practice record. Availity organization-registration guidance
Account setup: an existing practice vs a new organization
If the practice already uses Availity, ask its administrator to add you instead of registering a duplicate organization. If the practice is new, the person who will administer it starts the Healthcare Provider registration, creates a personal account, verifies the requested information and registers the organization through Manage My Organization. Complete the email and 2-step authentication prompts for your own account. Availity administrator guide (2025)

After personal-account setup, a new organization must still be registered. The official Florida training example below shows the separate Manage My Organization prompt. It illustrates Availity itself, not a Molina-specific registration form. Existing Molina users already in Availity should use their existing account and authorized organization access. Add your Molina biller as a User with assigned roles
The administrator opens Manage My Team(s), selects the correct organization and uses Add User or Invite Users. Enter the biller’s own details, then assign the roles their actual job needs. The March 2026 administrator guide identifies “Add users using Invite Users” as the help topic for this workflow. Review the organization and permissions before sending; an invitation is access to your practice, not a network application. Availity administrator guide, revised March 2026

For an outside billing service, agree which access relationship you are using before adding a person. Availity’s provider-registration guidance describes both billing-service access and provider organizations adding billing-service user IDs to their own organization. Use the supported arrangement for your practice; neither arrangement requires handing over the practice administrator’s password. Billing-service access considerations
Molina login errors: credentials, practice access or payer route?
Use “Forgot your user ID?” or “Forgot your password?” on the public sign-in page for credential recovery. If you can sign in but cannot see the practice or a tool, ask your organization administrator to check membership and assigned roles. For technical login help call Availity Client Services at 800-282-4548, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–8 p.m. Eastern. A password reset does not create a missing payer permission. Availity login support
If the organization and roles are correct but a Molina application or transaction is missing, compare the current state/plan instructions and payer availability. Molina’s resources link to its Availity onboarding and training; do not solve an old legacy-portal link by making another state-plan enrollment application. Provider-service questions about a member or claim belong to the applicable Molina plan. Molina Availity training and resources
Molina credentialing is a separate state-plan task
Molina provider login does not establish network participation. The provider network-management route and Washington credentialing guide below address participation separately. Keep state enrollment and Molina contracting documents with the relevant state application, rather than assuming an Availity user invitation approves a clinician for all Molina products. Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Molina provider portal login now?
Start with Availity Essentials. Molina’s public notice says direct login to its legacy portal was removed March 28, 2023. Select the current state and product resources for plan-specific tasks.
Do I need a new Availity account for Molina?
If you already have an Availity user account, use it and have the administrator check your organization and roles. Do not create a duplicate personal account just because you are adding another payer.
Does Molina credentialing give me a provider portal login?
Treat them separately. Portal users and their permissions are managed in Availity; network participation and state enrollment follow Molina’s applicable state-plan process.
Can my Molina biller use my login?
No. The biller uses their own User account with roles assigned by an administrator and the supported billing-service relationship. Your password and authentication stay yours.
