General
Bomi’s team handles the insurance work behind your therapy practice: credentialing, Verification of Benefits, claims, EOBs, denials, stale claims, roster updates, CAQH, attestations, patient balances, and revenue reporting.
Bomi Billing puts our insurance team in your existing EHR. Bomi EHR is our own EHR, and it comes with Bomi Billing, bringing credentialing, billing, and your clinical day together in one place. Credentialing requires enrollment in Bomi Billing and is not available on its own.
You add Bomi as a billing user in your EHR, and our team does the insurance work there: benefits checks, claims, EOB entry, denials, and balances. Your schedule, notes, and client records stay where they are. Bomi supports SimplePractice, TherapyNotes, Sessions Health, TheraNest, Carepatron, and PracticeQ.
Book a call. We review your practice, payers, EHR, and current billing setup, and confirm pricing in writing. You sign our Billing Services Agreement and Business Associate Agreement, then add Bomi as a billing user in your EHR and as a delegate on your payer portals, with step-by-step guides from us. We take over claims from your start date.
Billing
Bomi Billing includes Verification of Benefits, claims, EOB entry, denial tracking, stale-claim follow-up, patient balance tracking, payment-plan support, roster updates, CAQH, attestations, credential management, and revenue reporting.
Bomi Billing charges 4% of net collections for ongoing Verification of Benefits checks, billing, ongoing credentialing, claims management, denials, balances, payment plans, and revenue management. No hidden fees. Required pass-through fees are paid separately.
Yes. Bomi Billing is month-to-month. No long-term billing contract is required.
Bomi invoices at the end of the month based on net collections actually received during that month. If a claim has not been paid yet, it is not included in that month's Bomi fee.
Net collections means money actually collected by the practice from insurance or patients, after adjustments that reduce the collected amount (such as processing fees). Bomi's fee is based on collected revenue, not on claims that are still unpaid.
Payments go directly to your bank account via EFT from the insurance payer. Bomi tracks, reconciles, and reports payments but does not hold your funds.
Yes. Bomi Billing helps with EOB entry, stale-claim monitoring, denial tracking, resolution reports, outstanding balances, credits, payment plans, and revenue reporting.
Bomi EHR
Bomi includes scheduling, telehealth, progress notes, treatment plans, intake forms, clinical assessments, a client portal, secure messaging, appointment reminders, and practice analytics. Bomi Billing and credentialing are integrated into the same system.
No. Bomi EHR comes with Bomi Billing at 4% of net collections, as well as ongoing credentialing services. If you’d rather keep your current EHR, Bomi Billing works with SimplePractice, TherapyNotes, Sessions Health, TheraNest, Carepatron, and PracticeQ.
The EHR subscription is $0 per clinician/month for the first three months, then $29 per clinician/month. Billing remains 4% of net collections throughout, including during the introductory period. Payment processing, payer fees, and other applicable third-party charges are separate.
You focus on clinical care: appointments, sessions, documentation, treatment plans, and practice policies. Bomi handles insurance work, including credentialing, benefits verification, claims submission, EOB processing, denials, claim follow-up, client balances, and payment plans. We also manage CAQH upkeep, attestations, re-credentialing, and roster updates. If something needs your input, you’ll see it flagged on the Billing page.
Clients complete intake forms, sign consents, view appointments, join telehealth sessions, send secure messages, and manage balances and payments. Clients can also save a payment method for session charges. The portal supports individual clients, couples, and minors with guardian-managed access.
Yes. Invite clinicians, assign supervisors for pre-licensed staff, and manage your team in one system. Clinical records are restricted by clinician assignment and access permissions. Practice owners can track collections, claims, missing progress notes, and credentialing status across the practice or by individual clinician.
We review your current EHR and billing setup, then help you prepare and verify your import before switching. Our assisted SimplePractice import supports client records, insurance details, appointments, signed progress notes, documents, and a read-only billing summary. We’ll explain what can transfer and any exclusions before the import. Using TherapyNotes, Sessions Health, TheraNest, or TherapyAppointment? Ask us about your options.
Bomi is primarily built as a web app, which works better for complex workflows such as managing a calendar and writing notes. We are currently developing a simplified mobile app for managing certain functionality. If this is important to you, please contact our team and we can give you more info on when it will be available.
Bomi signs a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with every practice. Access is controlled by user role and client assignment, and we use two-factor authentication for sign-in as well as time-limited sessions.
