The published individual admission standard is a real constraint
For a practice considering a new associate hire, ComPsych’s public individual credentialing criteria are an important limit: they call for the highest state license or certification, a master’s degree and three years of postgraduate experience, with a doctorate for psychologists. A nonindependent associate should not be treated as eligible for this published individual admission route merely because a licensed supervisor works in the same office. The candidate’s actual credential and experience determine whether the standard can be met.
This is an affirmative restriction in the individual pathway, not proof that every facility or group agreement prohibits supervised care. The public material reviewed does not establish such an organizational exception. If the practice believes its contract has one, obtain the actual provision and its covered clinician, service and supervision conditions before forecasting revenue from a new associate. An employer EAP authorization or an accepted electronic claim route does not by itself supply that exception.

Associates, students and graduates have different answers
ComPsych’s public individual network criteria require the highest state license/certification, a master’s degree and three postgraduate years (doctorate for psychologists). A nonindependent associate does not satisfy this published individual pathway. A facility/group exception is not established.
An ordinary student placement does not satisfy the published individual admission criteria. No group/facility exception is established in the reviewed public sources.
An unlicensed graduate does not satisfy the published individual admission criteria. This is not proof of a universal prohibition under every facility contract.

What to ask about an organizational exception
Name the proposed clinician’s degree, highest credential, postgraduate experience and employment arrangement. Ask whether the exact group or facility agreement permits that clinician to deliver the intended service, whether individual admission is still required, and whose identity must appear on the claim. These are unresolved contract questions, not additional published requirements. Until answered, the individual criteria remain the only documented eligibility route in this review.
