NY Medicaid PSP: Registration PIN and User Access

By George Ruan • October 25, 2026

Use this guide for New York Medicaid Provider Services Portal (PSP) enrollment-record access. PSP is separate from ePACES claims access and ETIN certification.

Instructions checked October 25, 2026 against the official sources below. Menu names can change; use the stated support route if your screen differs.

Sections

Before you start

  • Use your own NY.GOV Business ID. For an existing provider record, have the Medicaid Provider ID and the PSP Registration PIN notice. A registration PIN is not an NY.GOV password or a one-time sign-in code.

  • If a Domain Administrator already has access, ask Bomi for its named user’s NY.GOV Business ID, first/last name, phone, email and the exact profiles required. Do not use an email address in place of an unverified Business ID.

Connect an existing record with its PIN

  1. Open www.nysproviderportal.health.ny.gov and sign in. Select Provider Services Portal (PSP) Enrollment Access.

  2. Enter the NYS Medicaid Provider ID and PSP Registration PIN, then Confirm. Follow the remaining registration prompts in the official illustrated Registration Instructions linked below.

  3. If the PIN is missing, use Regenerate PIN for the provider ID. The portal sends it to the provider email on file. If that address is wrong, follow the official guide’s Change Email Address instructions rather than creating a second enrollment. Complete validation yourself; do not put the PIN in an ordinary email reply.

Add Bomi to an already accessible domain

  1. The existing Domain Administrator selects the correct provider from the domain dropdown, then selects the Domain Administrator profile.

  2. Open Admin → User List → ADD. Enter the named user’s NY.GOV Business ID and contact information supplied by Bomi.

  3. Move only the approved profiles to the selected list. Domain Administrator manages user access; Provider Enrollment Access prepares/submits applications and modifications; View Provider Enrollment is read-only. These are different permissions.

  4. Review dates and profiles, choose OK, then GO on the User List to confirm the saved user appears. Have Bomi verify the intended provider domain and task.

If the record or administrator is missing

Use the PSP resources page below and contact eMedNY through its official Contacts page. Say: “We need access to an existing provider enrollment record in PSP. We [have/do not have] a working Domain Administrator and [have/do not have] the registration notice. Please give us the existing-record recovery route.” Do not start a new application just to solve access.

Reply to Bomi with the completed step or the exact missing option, without passwords, sign-in codes or PINs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the PSP registration PIN my NY.GOV password?

No. It validates access to an existing Medicaid provider record. Keep it out of ordinary email and enter it only through the official process.

Does Domain Administrator access mean claims access is ready?

No. PSP enrollment access, ePACES access and ETIN certification are separate.
